Ingredients
1 small head or half a large head cabbage, chopped
3 carrots, peeled & thinly sliced
3 large okra, thinly sliced (or about 8 oz. frozen)
1 yellow onion, chopped
3 large red potatoes, diced
1 small zucchini, quartered legnthwise & sliced
1 pkg. (8 oz) fresh mushrooms, cut into bite size chunks
1 can chicken broth
1 can tomato sauce, can refilled with water & added
1 can chopped stewed tomatoes, can refilled with water & added
1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
2 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
1 pkg (8 - 12 oz) your favorite Polish or smoked sausage, sliced
Place all ingredients into a 6 quart slow cooker that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Cover & cook on HIGH for 6 - 8 hours, stirring occasionally to keep cabbage from sticking to sides of bowl (or you can use a crock pot liner).
I put some Parmesan cheese on mine.
